ShipSkin is a small, independently run site — there is no support department behind it, just someone who reads what comes in. If you have found a bug in one of the marine-coating calculators, have a coatings question the tools don’t answer, or want to flag something that looks wrong, this is the place.
What’s useful to include
- Bug reports: which tool (the Hull Area Calculator, the Antifouling Paint Calculator, the Wet Film Thickness Calculator, the Paint Coverage Calculator, the Thinning Ratio Calculator, or the Paint Cost Estimator), what you entered, and what you expected instead.
- Coatings questions:the paint system and vessel type, if you know them — it helps more than a general question.
- Corrections: the specific page and figure that looks wrong.
- Ideas: a calculator or feature you wish existed.
What this isn’t
This isn’t a substitute for a paint manufacturer’s technical support line or a marine surveyor. For anything safety-critical or product-specific, start with the data sheet or a qualified professional; use this address for feedback about the site and its tools themselves.
